Administrative Law

The bulk of the Firm's Administrative Agency Practice involves proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which are described in the Energy Practice section.   In addition to FERC practice, the Firm's attorneys have experience in agency law and practice involving a wide array of matters. Mr. Griggs has represented clients in oil pipeline and electric utility proceedings before the Regulatory Commission of Alaska and the District of Columbia Public Service Commission.  Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Griggs served in the General Counsel's Office of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and participated in the drafting of licensing opinions issued by the NRC in proceedings involving nuclear power plants.  As an attorney with the Department of the Interior, Mr. Griggs participated in agency proceedings to issue oil and gas leases on the Outer Continental Shelf.  Ms. Adler has experience dealing with the Securities Exchange Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service.  Members of the Firm have experience in all phases of administrative agency law and procedure, including judicial review of agency actions.
